Dear Diary,

I cut myself again today.  I slit my ebony wrists to keep from slitting my ebony throat.  It all happened gradually, starting with a simple poke one day, to a small cut the next day, and a longer cut the day afterward.  I know the relief is only temporary, but it’s what I live for.  Temporary relief is better than no relief at all.
